BULLDOG COMMUNITY ART

The bulldog project is a public art project for the city of New Haven. Our large bulldogs are 6ft long by 4 ft high by 3 ft wide and 24 smaller bulldogs are 18 in tall by 2 ft long by 1 ft wide to local businesses and individuals in the community.

We chose the bulldog because it is the mascot for the local high school in New Haven. We hope to use the bulldog project to raise awareness for the New Haven Community Foundation and what we do for New Haven. After completion, we will use the finished statues to provide publicity for our city in the form of fun activities such as scavenger hunts, calendars and other events. The object of the project is to be creative, bring us together as a community and have some fun in the process.

SCHNELKER PARK BAND SHELL

We committed to helping the New Haven Parks Department construct a new Band Shell in Schnelker Veteran’s Memorial Park. The Foundation contributed $30,000 towards the project. The New Haven Chamber raised additional funds and the Parks Department applied for – and received a $35,000 grant from OCRA. Our teamwork resulted in a wonderful facility, finished in 2016, our community will enjoy for years.
