Spring Coloring Contest

New Haven Community Foundation is excited to announce the start of a spring and summer of fun with a coloring page contest. The New Haven Community Foundation was formed in 2013 by a group of residents who recognized the need within the community for a philanthropic organization that would allow individuals and businesses the opportunity to make tax-deductible contributions that would fund grants for the benefit of New Haven today, and for future generations.

On April 26th, coloring pages donned with an enlarged Foundation logo will be available for students at local schools, as well as for any child ages 4-14 to pick up at the New Haven Community Center. These will be due either back at the child’s school or at the New Haven Community Center by April 30th. Winners will be chosen from the entries by Foundation Board members and announced on May 7th via the Foundation’s social media channels and website. Prizes have been donated by New Haven Dairy Queen in the form of $10 gift cards.

Generous gold level sponsors of this contest are Barnes & Thornburg LLP, Continental Diamond Tool, Home Lumber, and NIPSCO.

According to Sarah Arnold, New Haven Community Foundation Board Chair, “Our Foundation has been in existence for seven years now and we have gained so much momentum in the last few years, but we find many residents and businesses still don’t know about our organization. We want to try to change that through fun activities to gain awareness so that we can continue to and increase our help to our community.”
